Employee Spotlight | Jacqueline Jursch

Our Employee Spotlight series celebrates the incredible talent, dedication, and passion of our team. In this edition, we’re proud to feature Jacqueline Jursch, Client Relationship Manager at Stewart Valuation Intelligence (SVI). With extensive experience in the appraisal management industry, Jacqueline exemplifies leadership through collaboration, empathy, and a deep commitment to both clients and colleagues. Her hands-on expertise and people-first approach continue to make a lasting impact across the organization.

1. Personal Journey and Leadership

Can you share your career journey and what led you to your current role?

Jacqueline:
I’ve been part of the AMC world for nearly 15 years, starting at a very small firm where I was only the third employee. That experience taught me every aspect of the business from the ground up. When COVID hit, I made the move to Stewart Valuation Intelligence, and it’s been an incredible five-year journey since. My background has always been rooted in leadership and customer service, and that passion for guiding others and solving problems has never left me. I chose this field because I genuinely love being part of someone’s American dream. Whether it’s a first home purchase or a refinance that makes life a little easier, knowing I’ve played a small role in that journey and seeing the smile it brings is why I do what I do.

What Excites You Most About Your Role?

Jacqueline:

What excites me most is problem-solving and helping people. I serve as the bridge between lenders, appraisers, and sometimes borrowers. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities to make the process smoother and more human. Even on tough days, knowing I’ve helped someone or supported my team gives me energy and purpose.

2. Vision and Strategy

What are your key priorities for SVI and how do you see the company evolving in the next five years?

Jacqueline:

I’ve witnessed tremendous growth at SVI, and I know there’s much more ahead. My priorities center on education and training, two distinct but equally vital components of our success. We focus not only on training team members for their day-to-day responsibilities but also on providing continuous education, tools, and resources that support long-term career growth. I’ve built call groups, FAQs, and pinned resources to ensure information is always accessible. When you pair that with positive reinforcement and recognition, you create an environment where people thrive. Looking forward, I envision more specialized teams, strategically placed talent, and an expanded network of client relationships that strengthen our foundation.

How would you describe the culture at SVI and what do you look for when bringing on new talent?

Jacqueline:
Working remotely can make maintaining culture challenging, but SVI has built something special; a diverse, connected, family-like atmosphere. From Slack pet groups to our Kansas City gatherings, we stay engaged beyond our daily tasks. When onboarding new talent, I look for people who are curious, proactive, and unafraid to ask questions. To me, asking even twice shows that you care about doing things right. I’ve always loved Bob Nelson’s book Please Don’t Just Do What I Tell You to Do, Do What Needs to Be Done, that perfectly captures the mindset I value. Initiative, teamwork, and the willingness to go the extra mile are what make our culture thrive.

3. Challenges and Opportunities

What are the most pressing challenges in the valuation industry today and how is SVI addressing them?

Jacqueline:
Our industry moves quickly and evolves constantly. At SVI, we stay ahead through continuous education, informative town halls, and strong communication. By ensuring our teams have access to the latest insights and resources, we can adapt swiftly to change and continue delivering exceptional service to our clients.

4. Industry Trends and Innovation

With the rapid changes in real estate valuation and technology, what trends or innovations are most exciting to you?

Jacqueline:
I’m thrilled about the momentum we’re building, especially the expansion of dedicated regional appraisers, which strengthens both our client relationships and internal growth opportunities. The mergers and strategic expansions we’re pursuing are positioning us for sustainable, scalable success. I can see SVI evolving into a structure of specialized client relations teams with strong leaders driving innovation at every level. It’s exciting to be part of that evolution.

5. Advice for Aspiring Leaders

What advice would you give to professionals looking to grow into leadership roles within the valuation or real estate industry?

Jacqueline:
Keep learning and never stop asking questions, knowledge is power. Every challenge I’ve faced has been an opportunity to grow and gain perspective. Stay positive, stay curious, and don’t hesitate to step up. That’s the mindset that leads to leadership.”
